DEVELOPING CREATIVE STRATEGIES
ACHIEVING IMAGINATIVE GROWTH
The above prompt is the question posed to us when we had to tackle this portfolio. No rubric, no detailed instructions, nothing. Before this class if I was given an assignment like this, I used to think in terms of what would be the easiest way to go about doing this. This would probably include something along the lines of making a powerpoint and filling in each slide with a picture and a little description to accommodate it. However, now I l think in terms of how awesome and entertaining I can make this portfolio for the viewer. The below two pictures I though represented this change in thought best. When looking at the left picture, one can tell when I made it I most likely saw something along the lines of a clock or compass based on the circle I drew around it. The picture on the right, however, is completely unrelated to either of those concepts and instead features a present with a bowtie underneath a Christmas tree. I'd like to think that the "I use to think" is the left picture and the "Now I think" is the right one which I plan on developing more and more with every class and assignment.
I used to think … Now I think …
